Vinton Lodge #131 recently elected Officers for the 2018 Masonic Year
At its Annual Meeting held on November 7, 2018, Vinton Lodge #131 elected Officers for the 2018 Masonic year.
Elected to serve were: WB Joseph Ferrell – Worshipful Master, WB Terry Barcus – Senior Warden, WB Jeff Mullins – Junior Warden, Bro. Tony Sowards – Senior Deacon, B Tom Roy – Junior Deacon, WB Steve Moore – Treasurer, WB Robert Bence – Secretary, Bro. Chris Moore – Tyler, WB Terry Barcus – Trustee.
In addition, the following brethren accepted appointments to office: WB Jim Glassburn – Chaplain, Bro. Todd Patterson – Senior Steward, and WB Robert Bence – Lodge Education Officer.
Congratulations to these brothers! We thank them for their support of Vinton Lodge #131 and wish them much success in the coming year!

An American Hero and Brother Mason rests from his labors.
After a week-long hospital stay, John Glenn passed away December 8th in Columbus at the age of 95. He is survived by his wife and two adult children.
John Herschel Glenn, Jr. was born in Cambridge, Ohio on July 18, 1921.
Glenn is an American hero and a proud son of Ohio. He rose to fame by being the first American to orbit the earth, but he continued to serve America and the Buckeye state for the rest of his life.
Glenn served in the US military first as a pilot and later as an astronaut from 1941-1965, retiring from the Marine Corps. He served as a Democratic Senator…
